Helionovus — Building anew sun forthe whole planet

Helionovus designs and builds compact fusion power plants, perovskite-silicon solar, multi-day storage and grid sensing — engineered to work as one system.

Helionovus is an energy company building the machines of a new sun: fusion power plants, tandem solar, multi-day storage and a grid that knows its own limits.

The opportunity ahead

Firm, clean power is how we meet it

51k TWhin 2050
27k TWhin 2024

Global electricity demand is projected to grow from about 27,000 terawatt-hours in 2024 to about 51,000 by 2050. Meeting it takes energy that is abundant, firm and clean.

Eighteen HTS coils

REBCO superconducting tape reaches 20 tesla at the coil. Fusion power density scales with B⁴, so the machine shrinks dramatically.

The central solenoid drives 8.5 million amps through the plasma, twisting field lines into helices that hold it in place.

Our technologies in detail

LUMEN · Solar

Two cells, one module, more of the spectrum.

A 1.68 eV perovskite cell on a silicon heterojunction splits sunlight at 740 nm — blue light converted on top, red and infrared below.

Printed at low temperature.

Perovskites are crystals printed from solution, thin enough to sit on a silicon wafer without replacing it.

UMBRA-L · Iron-airClose-up of a rusted iron surface

Storage that breathes.

Discharging, iron pellets take in oxygen and rust. Charging reverses it — slow, cheap and made of iron, water and air.

HALO · Grid

The fastest new power line is the one you already have.

Line-mounted sensors measure conductor temperature, sag and wind to compute real capacity — typically 10–40% above static ratings.

UMBRA · Storage

Power for the days without sun.

A week on a solar-powered grid, with three overcast days in the middle. Switch storage on and watch the gaps close.

Illustrative hourly model: 1 GW average demand; 6.5 GWp solar; days 3–5 overcast at 15–25% of clear-sky output. Sodium-ion 1.5 GW / 6 GWh at 90% round-trip; iron-air 1.5 GW / 120 GWh at 45%, entering the week 85% charged.

Heliostat · Software

One view of every electron.

A live digital twin of every site: weather-driven forecasts, dispatch that respects the grid's real limits, and a copilot that explains what changed.

Our approach

Research

We start from what physics allows — detailed-balance limits, plasma scaling laws, electrochemical potentials — and work back to what can be manufactured.

Prove

Every claim is tested on real hardware at meaningful scale: magnet coils at full field, modules on outdoor racks, storage on live feeders.

Deploy

Bankable warranties, open data interfaces and designs certified to the standards utilities and regulators already use.
