Helionovus brand guidelines
01 Wordmark
Broad, precise, softened at the corners.
The wordmark is HELIONOVUS set in Conthrax SemiBold by Typodermic Fonts: broad rectilinear capitals with rounded corners and softened joins, technical without being aggressive. The word is converted to outlines and opened up with +14 units of tracking, so it reads cleanly at small sizes and balances the woven mark.
Cap height = 100 units. Vertical strokes are about 22 units and horizontals 20; the E and H cross-bars sit at 59, just below centre. Never retype the wordmark — always use the outlined artwork.
02 Mark
The New Sun.
Two identical four-point stars, one upright and one turned 45°, drawn as rounded outlines and woven over and under each other around an open centre. It reads as an eight-pointed sun and as a knot at once. It is always one colour: the upright star at full strength, the diagonal star at 62%. The form follows the Breakthrough Energy knot.
Each arm passes over on its clockwise flank and under on its counter-clockwise flank, so the eight crossings alternate and the knot turns in one direction. Arms taper from softly curved inner corners (radius 49.5) to fully rounded tips (radius 100), so each element reads as an interlocking loop. The stroke is 9.4 units on a 204-unit field, drawn at 11 in lockups so it sits with the bold wordmark.
03 Lockups
Four arrangements. One system.
Use the horizontal lockup by default. Use the stacked lockup when space is square, the mark alone for favicons, app icons and avatars, and the wordmark alone where the mark already appears nearby.
Clear space x = cap height
Keep at least one cap-height (x) of empty space on every side. Minimum sizes: the horizontal lockup at 120 px or 30 mm wide; the mark at 16 px, using the heavier favicon cut below 24 px.
04 Colour
Carbon, bone and a single flare.
The palette is mostly night and daylight. The mark is always one colour: bone on dark, void on light, with the diagonal star at 62%. Flare, the orange of the photosphere, is the site's only accent: use it for one idea per view. Plasma, sky and gold are reserved for data and physical visuals.
05 Typography
Wide, light and exact.
Sora echoes the wordmark's wide geometry at display sizes. Funnel Sans carries reading text. Martian Mono labels every number, the way instruments do. All three are open-source Google Fonts.

06 Misuse
Please don't.
The mark's proportions and weave are fixed. If a layout seems to need a change, change the layout.
07 Applications
In the world.
Business cards, app icons and avatars use the one-colour mark on void or flare. Heliostat, the software platform, uses the mark as its app icon.

Vector SVG, generated from one geometry source (shared/logo.js), so every file is identical in construction. Regenerate with node tools/build-logos.js.
